Albert Young, the judge of CWC7 has asked me to post this on his behalf.

He is <young@mtl.mit.edu>

The winning overall entry for CWC7 was submitted by Anil Nair
<nair@quintus.com>:

Chair with style and value (8)

The other winning entry was submitted by Guy Jacobson:

Rather under-cooked on the outside but not returned (10)

In the tradition of the CWC, I invite Anil to set the next round of
the competition.

Comments on the winning clues and other close contenders will be
posted tomorrow. I will also post a complete list of all clues
submitted in a separate post, with some author commentary.

PLEASE DO NOT post any comments on these two clues or the words that they
clue. Some readers of this newsgroup will want to try to solve the two
puzzles -- please don't spoil it for them.

And thanks for all the terrific entries...

-- Albert
