About 10 years ago, I married Anne Burton Harwell, and after about a year's wait while I paid off some bills in Scotland, I relocated from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Edinburg, Texas. Although I suffered a little from culture shock, (not to mention heat-shock), for a short time, I soon settled in and call this place home now. While I have been here I have enjoyed a career that has been heavily internet-based, initially as the lead tech and eventually manager of a small ISP, and now as the Information Security Officer at the local University.
