This (new) section is intended to hold information on differences between the
old and new operating systems plus other useful bits and pieces.

\section{Loading the operating system}

The new (multi-process) operating system may be loaded in a number of ways..

From a cold machine..

Type any character while the first three lines of bootstrap information are
being printed and the bootstrap will suspend. You will then be prompted for
a filestore (to which you respond with a space or $<$carriage-return$>$ and then
for a file. A space entered here will cause the standard system to boot. Any
other response will be interpreted as a bootstrap file specification. The
current version of the New operating system is bootstrapped from

X:SFP.MOB

From the old operating system..

Type \hspace{ 0.2 in} NEW

From the new operating system..
