I wonder if there was a mistake in the Afrikaans information in the Spear's database? I find it hard to believe there is no 'Z' in the language. Perhaps someone who knows for sure could email me and confirm this? I mean, what does the 'Z' in .za stand for? How do they spell 'Zulu'???! Admittedly it does look from looking at some web pages that only loan-words contain a 'Z' and it may be that since foreign words are banned in Scrabble, there is no acceptable use of the 'Z' in play?

Geo also tells me that the closest thing to an official dictionary for Scrabble would be the "Handwoordeboek van die Afrikaanse Taal".
