WELCOME TO IRS HELP This help function will help you to learn and understand how to play International Remote Scrabble! Click on the links above to view tips on different aspects of the game. QUICK GUIDE TO PLAYING IRS * The game must be played on a screen of height resolution 768 pixels or more. * The game will distribute tiles at the start, and then as required. * The game will end when there are not enough tiles to replenish a players rack. * A player starts their turn by pressing move, and ends their turn by pressing end move. * If you skip twice, you are out of the game. * If you make an illegal move, you lose your turn. * If you make two illegal moves in a row, you are out of the game. * If there is a * symbol before a players name, it means they are a computer player. * If a player uses the Hint function and has a blank tile, the blank tile will be labelled with a letter. * You can exit a game by pressing quit game. * Before exiting you will be asked if you wish to save a log of the moves made in the game. SETUP * You have a game board, 100 letter tiles for the English dictionary or 150 for the Russian dictionary, a letter bag and a maximum of four racks, one for each player. * Before the game begins, a dictionary needs to be loaded. English and Russian dictionaries are provided with this game, but other dictionaries can be loaded also. * The first player will be randomly selected, then you move down the list. * The game will then assign seven letters to each player. These are randomly selected from the letter bag. |
